The Block A-6 joint venture in Myanmar led by France's Total has finalised a development concept for the deep-water Shwe Yee Htun gas discovery.

The concept and the timing of the field development have been the subject of discussions this year between the joint venture partners Total, Woodside Petroleum and MPRL E&P — and the Myanmar authorities.

Woodside said in its latest financial results that the concept has been finalised, and attentions have now swung to talks with government about fiscal terms with government reviews currently under way.
