Partners Group is set to gain a foothold in Norway’s extensive gas transport infrastructure through a €1.2 billion ($1.35 billion) acquisition of CapeOmega from private-equity player HitecVision, writes Steve Marshall.

The deal will see the global investment manager take over CapeOmega’s 16.3% interest in state infrastructure network Gassled and a 19% interest in Polarled, the 480-kilometre pipeline linking Equinor’s Aasta Hansteen gas field with the Nyhamna processing plant, in which CapeOmega also holds a 13.18%
