A joint venture of Japan’s JGC and its two US partners, Kiewit and Black & Veatch (B&V), is tipped to land a prestigious turnkey contract to build the $6 billion Jordan Cove liquefied natural gas export plant in the US.

Well-placed sources said the consortium is now in pole position to land an engineering, procurement and construction contract for the Veresen-operated LNG scheme in Oregon, having edged ahead of the only remaining rival for the work.
