US independent ConocoPhillips is planning to drill two appraisal wells on its 2018 Patawali discovery off Sarawak, East Malaysia where success could lead to a potential joint oil development with the nearby Salam field.
ConocoPhillips has lined up Asian Geos’ Malaysia-flagged vessel Java Illithyia for a marine geotechnical survey that will encompass the locations of the Patawali-2 and Patawali-3 appraisal wells and that of the Benum-1 wildcat.
