The PCPP Operating Company in Malaysia has begun the process of decommissioning the D30 and Dana shallow-water oil and gas fields off Sarawak.
Well-placed sources said the operating company has issued a tender for the engineering, preparation, removal and disposal of the facilities at the two fields. Bids are due at the end of August.
The contract will likely be valued in the region of $30 million to $40 million, and will necessitate the use of an offshore crane barge and several offshore support vessels.
