The agreement comes after the US Department of Energy gave the partners the go-ahead to export up to 15 million tonnes per annum of LNG to non-free trade agreement nations.
The partners are now preparing to file a formal application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The project is currently in the “pre-filing” phase, and a formal filing should be made by the end of the first quarter of next year.
