Speaking this week in a conference call, Gazpromneft’s deputy executive director Vadim Yakovlev said the plan also calls for the company to buy the Prirazlomnaya platform, which is owned directly by Gazprom.
Yakovlev said the company is planning to pay Gazprom for the platform over a period of time. Once oil production begins, the company will divert a share of cash generated by oil sales from the Prirazlomnoye field for this purpose, he said.
