Mexico's Pemex has stacked its last operated deep-water drilling rig, taking a step back from its once-extensive exploration campaign as the company has turned its focus towards shallow-water and onshore projects, a top executive confirmed.
The state-led company is continuing with exploratory and other types of studies, but is not drilling any operated wells at the moment, according to Ulises Hernandez, director of resources, reserves and partnerships.
