State-run Mexican company Pemex has put in formal requests to “migrate” nine of 22 field-service agreements to exploration and production contracts, and hopes to sign the first deal by the end of the month. That first conversion is expected to be for the Mision field in the Burgos basin, presently operated under a joint venture of Argentina’s Tecpetrol and IPC of Mexico’s Grupo R conglomerate, according to Gustavo Hernandez Garcia, who is charged with handling Pemex’s new partnerships.
