Pemex is set to take bids in the coming days from as many as four Mexican shipyards on a fast-track project to replace a platform at its Abkatun complex that was devastated by a deadly fire last year.
Those invited to bid for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation deal are local divisions of US player McDermott, Spanish company Dragados, joint venture ICA Fluor and Operadora Cicsa, part of billionaire Carlos Slim’s Grupo Carso.
