Pemex’s management described the unfolding project as multi-purpose.
One stage in development focuses on transmitting oil from the Tsimin and Xux discoveries to Dos Bocas.
These accumulations are believed to hold the equivalent of 1.5 billion barrels of proven, probable and possible oil reserves.
Pemex’s E&P director Carlos Morales Gil said: “It’s a two-fold development with a processing complex that will act as the first stage of the Tsimin development and, at the same time, serve as the central processing (asset) for the Litoral de Tabasco.”
