The initial plan calls for the building of a new production platform at the Penglai 19-9 field, located east of the producing Penglai 19-3 development.
The partners are set to drill up to 62 wells, including water injectors, for the new platform at Penglai 19-9.
Production will be tied back to Penglai 19-3’s existing Hai Yang Shi You 117 floating production, storage and offloading vessel, sources said.
