US Energy Secretary Rick Perry has signalled that he would like to see the country pursue what he called a new “energy realism” that would drive investment in renewables while lowering overall emissions of fossil fuels, writes Julia Martinez.
“We don’t have to choose between growing our economy and caring for our environment. By embracing innovation over regulation we can benefit both, and that is at the heart of the new energy realism,” he said during the Cera-Week conference in Houston.
