Pertamina has teamed up the nation’s Transportation Ministry and other government agencies to help handle the state-owned company’s oil spill on its Offshore North West Java block that occurred following a gas kick at the reactivated YYA-1 well, writes Amanda Battersby.
Pertamina has established six teams, deployed 27 vessels and set up 12 oil booms including on nearby river estuaries to help contain the leaked hydrocarbons.
