Subsidiary Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) last year started the tender process for the Cilacap FSRU and initial bids are expected to be soon submitted for the unit.
The company, which said it is looking to ultimately purchase and own the FSRU, will entertain both newbuilds and a “ready to convert” existing LNG carrier.
Another option Pertagas would consider for Cilacap is a floating storage unit with regasification on a vessel, barge or offshore platform.
