PHE has floated a prequalification exercise for conceptual studies on a gas development tied to the Badik oil and gas discovery in the Nunakan PSC in northern East Kalimantan.
PHE’s partner at Nunakan, Medco Energi, said “a development programme is being prepared” for the Badik discovery.
Medco said no gas sales agreement has been signed for any potential output from the proposed development, although PHE president director Ignatius Tenny Wibowo previously told Upstream that reserves in Nunakan could potentially be commercialised using a small scale liquefied natural gas plant.
