Upstream earlier reported that Indonesia’s Raga Perkasa Ekaguna, working with fabricator Han Jung, was the lowest bidder at $102 million.
The other two bidding consortia were Indonesia-based Gunanusa and Timas Suplindo, and Indonesia’s Meindo Elang Indah with Singapore’s Swiber Offshore.
All three bids exceed operator Pertamina Hulu Energi’s budget by at least 10%, said sources.
No official notification of cancellation had been issued as Upstream went to press, although many market participants said they expected it to be confirmed shortly.
