Pertamina official Sahd Djabbar said the company planned to form a consortium to develop Tuba, which is expected to require investment of between $400 million and $500 million to achieve a projected output of 180,000 barrels per day. Djabbar said initial negotiations for Tuba, onshore in southern Iraq, were based on production sharing contract terms but the Iraqis decided they wanted to examine a different contractual model.

INDONESIAN state oil company Pertamina is continuing to negotiate with Iraq for the Tuba oilfield and believes it has a good chance of landing the deal.
