The operator plans to use water injection technology at its Rantau, Kenali Asam, Tempino, Talang Jimar, Tanjung Tiga Barat and Tapian Timur fields, while chemical injection will be employed at an unnamed field near Tanjung Tiga Barat.
Pertamina EP director Doddy Priambodo said that EOR is expected to increase output this year by 3250 bpd of crude. Achieving the full maximum of 30,000 bpd of incremental production will take several years at least.
