Initial testing earlier this year of the Arrowsmith-2 well produced oil and gas in the Kockatea shale, while the Carynginia zone flowed gas.
The Block EP413 joint venture partners — operator Norwest Energy, AWE and Bharat PetroResources — now plan to restart testing on 1 August that will initially focus on the High Cliff sandstones, followed by the Irwin Rover coal measures and the Carynginia shale, said AWE.
