Staff at the Aberdeen-based energy logistics provider raised a total of £10,000 ($14,300) for two charities — the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and cancer charity Friends of Anchor — with the company matching the donation, for a total of £20,000.
Peterson employee Francis McCarthy received support from Friends of Anchor after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2001.
“I’ve seen first-hand how donations like this are used and I know it will make a real difference to the unit,” he said.
