UK-listed explorer Petro Matad has spudded its Snow Leopard-1 exploration well on Block V in Mongolia’s Taats basin.
The well was spudded early this week and is expected to take about 70 days to drill to a depth of 3350 metres and complete.
Petro Matad is targeting an estimated 90 million barrels of oil at Snow Leopard-1 and said it would enlist a separate rig for testing if the well is successful.
