Brazil's Petrobras is understood to be analysing a fresh contracting strategy for its forthcoming floating production, storage and offloading vessels to operate in the pre-salt province.
Market sources told Upstream the oil giant is looking to switch from its lease and operate model, which has been used recently to charter large FPSOs for the Mero and Sepia fields, to a build-operate-transfer (BOT) format.
