Brazil’s market regulator, the ANP, has agreed to extend the concession contract for the Marlim Sul field, giving Petrobras an additional 27 years to produce from the Campos basin deep-water development, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
The Marlim Sul field contract has been extended to 2052 from 2025, and follows a similar decision sanctioned two years ago, when the ANP extended the concessions of the Marlim and Voador fields to allow the maximum economic exploitation of the remaining reserves.
