Brazilian oil giant Petrobras has issued a new tender to charter a highly-specialised diving support vessel (DSV) to carry out operations in the Campos and Santos basins, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
It is understood that Petrobras invited a clutch of players, including DOF Subsea, Fugro, Sapura Navegacao, Seacor Marine, Solstad Offshore and Wilson Sons, to submit bids on 8 May.
Petrobras is seeking a dynamically-positioned Class 2 DSV featuring a saturation diving system for operations in up to 300 metres of water with wire scope down to 3000 metres and remotely-operated vehicle capability for subsea intervention and inspection.
