One source told Upstream that Petrobras invited Brazilian shipping companies to present offers on 28 November for several 1500-brake-horsepower-rated platform supply vessels for delivery in September 2014.
The bidding rules give contractors the flexibility to submit vessels for periods of one, two, three or four years — all with options to renew the deal for the same period.
Petrobras launched the bidding process on 11 November.
