Netherlands-based SBM Offshore has suffered a new setback in its quest to reach a leniency agreement with Brazilian authorities after a local court ordered Petrobras to start withholding a percentage of monthly payments owed to the floater specialist, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
Federal prosecutors had asked the court to impose the provisional measure, which will see payments under certain SBM charter contracts with Petrobras deposited in an escrow account as collateral.
