One source told Upstream that Petrobras intends to drill the Tanganika well, located a few kilometres east of Malombe, in Block BM-ES-21 in the Espirito Santo basin, in the fourth quarter.
It is understood that Tanganika will be drilled in water depths of about 1000 metres by the Diamond Offshore semi-submersible rig Ocean Winner.
The unit is currently finishing an appraisal well for Petrobras in the nearby Golfinho field, also in the Espirito Santo basin.
