The drillstem test will be carried out in the next few weeks at the Carioca North appraisal well in Block BM-S-9 in the Santos basin.
Petrobras will also run an injection test at Carioca North, in which fluid will be injected into the carbonate reservoir to determine pressure conditions.
It is understood that both tests will be critical for Petrobras to determine more precisely production flow rates from Carioca, given that it will have to deal with issues such as condensation, waxing, hydrate formation and carbon dioxide in the area.
