Brazilian oil giant Petrobras has re-issued a tender for a giant production unit on the ultra-deepwater Libra field, dropping local content requirements significantly after two failed attempts to award a charter contract.
Libra, a pre-salt field in Brazil’s Santos basin, will get a pilot floating production, storage and offloading unit able to produce up to 180,000 barrels per day of light oil and compress 12 million cubic metres per day of gas.
