Brazil’s Petrobras has re-launched a tender to charter several platform supply vessels, after slightly altering bidding rules in an attempt to increase competitiveness and secure better prices, writes Fabio Palmigiani.

Industry sources told Upstream that Petrobras invited contractors to submit commercial proposals on 23 September for 1500 deadweight-tonne PSVs.

As in the original tender, Petrobras has split it in two packages, being Lot 1 for general cargo vessels and Lot 2 for PSVs that can also perform tugging operations.
