Brazil’s Petrobras has agreed to extend the charter of the semi-submersible tender rig BassDrill Beta by another six months to continue development drilling at the Papa Terra field in the Campos basin, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
Petrobras awarded Houston-based contractor Atlantica Tender Drilling a $373 million contract in 2010 to supply a tender rig for Papa Terra.
The purpose-built Beta unit was delivered in November 2013 to work alongside the P-61 dry-tree tension-leg wellhead platform.
