Opportunities for stranded gas projects off the UK are being targeted by a new alliance that aims to use gas-to-wire technology to generate power for the national grid, writes Steve Marshall.
UK-based engineering contractor Petrofac is teaming up with Marginal Field Development Company (MFDC), a joint venture owned 50% by London-listed Nu-Oil & Gas, to exploit gas deposits that would otherwise be discarded as uneconomic.
