UK oilfield contractor Petrofac has sold its stake in the Panuco contract onshore Mexico to Schlumberger, handing over full control of the block to the global services specialist that already held the remaining 50% share.

Panuco is one of about two dozen legacy services contracts in Mexico used in years past by Pemex to bring in outside investment and technology in a limited way when it still held a monopoly role in the country's energy markets.
