The closely watched probe is the first to be drilled in these waters for seven years. The Jet Drilling drillship Energy Searcher is currently on location at the Zambezi Delta E-1 well site in about 100 metres of water in Petronas' recently awarded Block 3 licence. The exploration well is set to be drilled to a total depth of 4600 metres, targeting a structural trap with 250 million barrels of potential resources.
