Malaysian national oil company Petronas is closing in on a decision about the front-end engineering and design work for its prestigious K5 sour gas project off Sarawak, Malaysia.
RNZ-Petrofac, Ranhill Worley, Technip and Aker Engineering are understood to be among the contractors competing for the FEED contract.
Conceptual studies were carried out by Technip subsidiary Genesis Oil & Gas.
It is understood that bids are being evaluated by Petronas and an award is pending.
