IGL will be performing a range of services, especially for deep-water and marginal field projects in Malaysia and for Petronas' growing international operations. The operator is said to be suffering from a skill shortage among its local subsidiaries in these areas. IGL established its Kuala Lumpur office in 2001 and, together with the Perth operation, has won work for oil and gas companies in south-east and north Asia.
