India’s Petronet LNG is forging ahead with plans to locate a liquefied natural gas floating storage and regasification unit in the remote Andaman and Nicobar Islands off the nation’s east coast.
The FSRU would have initial capacity of 150,000 tonnes per annum of LNG, while unloading facilities for carriers of between 5000 and 30,000 cubic metres capacity and 10,000 cubic metres of LNG storage are also required.
