Brazilian independent PetroRio is starting to look at plans to drill new wells on the Frade deep-water field in the Campos basin, where it recently acquired a large stake from US supermajor Chevron, writes Fabio Palmigiani.

“We believe in the potential of Frade and its upside regarding cost efficiency and reservoir management. It will take some time before we get to know the geology of the field, but we are contemplating drilling in early 2020,” said PetroRio chief executive Nelson Tanure Filho.
