The floating liquefaction production vessel operated by Malaysian state oil company Petronas is being relocated to its second destination, the Kebabangan Cluster gas field off Sabah, writes Amanda Battersby.
The 1.2 million tonnes per annum Petronas’ PFLNG Satu on 12 March departed the company’s Kanowit field off Sarawak, also off East Malaysia.
Petronas's upstream chief executive, Anuar Taib, said PFLNG Satu’s technology, featuring the capability to move from one location to another, will strengthen the reliability of the company's LNG supply system to meet growing demand.
