Poland’s PGNiG is set to start drilling its first operated well off Norway, on the Shrek prospect, in the third quarter after signing a deal for an Odfjell Drilling rig.
The state-backed player and Aker BP have chartered the semi-submersible Deepsea Nordkapp for the exploration well 6506/5-9 on production licence 838, with drilling set to take place between the start of September and the end of November.
