Angolan state oil company Sonangol, in collaboration with international seismic provider PGS, will acquire and process a new multi-client 3D survey over Kwanza basin blocks 6, 7 & 8 in the shelf shallows, all open acreage that has been overlooked in recent exploration cycles.
The Kwanza shelf hosts numerous fields and discoveries, with reservoirs in both the pre-salt and post-salt and with just five exploration wells drilled since the early 1990s.
