Businessman Gregorio Araneta III is pushing plans for his company Philweb and partner Mitsui of Japan to construct a US$1 billion-plus liquefied natural gas receiving and regasification project in his native Philippines, writes Amanda Battersby.
Philweb and Mitsui have their eye on an LNG import terminal in Limay, Bataan, as part of a phased integrated project that would ultimately include a 600-megawatt power plant.
