Nigerian lawmakers have been urged by newly appointed Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Timipre Sylva to expedite the long-gestated Petroleum Industry & Governance Bill and other legislative packages designed to reform the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors.

“I have called the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to work with myself and lawmakers to tidy up the regulatory environment within the National Assembly and agree a timeline to approve the different components which we can announce to the world,” Sylva said.
