US independent Pioneer Resources pumped out higher production in the first quarter, with its total production hitting 333,430 barrels of oil equivalent per day, up from 311,845 boepd in the same period of 2018, writes Julia Martinez.
Pioneer's output from the Permian basin accounted for 320,000 boepd of that total, and the company said that with the sale of its Eagle Ford position for a total of up to $475 million now completed, it will become a pure-play Permian producer.
