The attacks prompted Shell to declare force majeure for the remainder of April and into May, affecting about 170,000 barrels per day of crude.
The attacks took place close to the Idoma flowstation near Soku-Buguma and Buguma-Alakiri, both areas where substantial investments have been expended in recent years to develop gas supplies for the Nigeria LNG operation, also on Bonny Island.
