An Australian exploration joint venture between Comet Ridge and Vintage Energy has taken a step forward in its ambition to produce gas from Queensland's Galilee basin.
The joint venture has a provisional agreement with pipeline company APA Group for a 240-kilometre pipeline that would connect the Galilee basin to the gas-hungry domestic markets.
APA Group has just been granted a survey licence by the Queensland government for the big pipeline which Comet Ridge said was "a key early step in progressing towards construction of the pipeline".
