The US-based explorer has predicted record natural gas production from the Woodford shale in south-east Oklahoma and has said it will commit to 200 million cubic feet per day in the Midcontinent Express system.
"The Woodford Shale play is the fastest growing component of our portfolio," said Newfield chief executive David Trice. "This agreement ensures that a large portion of our expected future production from Woodford will move out of the region."
