Operators ranging from ExxonMobil down to publicly-listed juniors such as Eaglewood Energy and New Guinea Energy, and including the likes of Talisman Energy, Oil Search, Sasol, InterOil, Santos, Horizon Oil and LNG Energy, are all looking to discover reserves to potentially supply the US supermajor’s expanded liquefied natural gas project and/or future greenfield LNG schemes.
All the publicly-listed companies have aggressive plans for 2011, which they unveiled at the 11th PNG Mining & Petroleum Conference.
