At the tender age of 39, Eriksen is just a year into the job as head of the energy division of Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the Norwegian risk management and classification society.
He was pegged years ago as a rising star in the DNV organisation, which he joined in 1993 after getting a degree in civil engineering, and some observers have already labelled him a strong candidate to one day succeed Henrik Madsen asDNV chief executive.
